Fifth Tenet of Transcendentalism: Importance of Nature

The fifth tenet of Transcendentalism was importance of nature. Back in the times the Transcendentalist thought nature was a beauty to the world and that we needed to take more care of it. This is why it is one of the major tenets because without nature we would not have most of the things that we have now. The humans were the part of the oversoal which means we are all part of god.

"Every spirit builds itself a house; and beyond its house a world; and beyond its world a heaven..."

I believe that the house the spirits have is earth. God made this world for us to live in. I chose the picture and the quote for Nature because it goes with my belief the quote goes with the picture and the picture with nature. Nature is beautiful. It makes our world beautiful. Without nature this world would be ugly and dark. It lightens up our world brings peace and love. <3

Fourth Tenet of Transcendentalism: Confidence

The fourth tenet of Transcendentalism is confidence. Confidence is to always have confidence in who you are. Don't ever let anyone bring you down always love yourself. Believe in your ideas and in yourself and in the beauty of love.

 "Envy is Ignorance"
-Henry David Thoreau

Confidence is my favorite one. Not everyone in this world is the same, and not everybody has the same likes as you. Everyone is different in their own ways and you should be proud of it. Love yourself the way you are because if you envy people it will bring you lower. This is why I picked the quote by Thoreau because if you become yourself people may envy you and try to bring you lower but you believe in yourself and that is what is going to bring you higher. The picture was picked because I thought it was funny and its a great way to compare confidence to a muscle.

Third Tenet of Transcendentalism: Free Thought

The third tenet of Transcendentalism is free thought. Free thought is to have individuality. Respect others opinions and beliefs but also have belief in yourself. Don't be afraid to speak and say what you think.

"It takes two to speak the truth one to speak and the other to hear"
-Henry David Thoreau

My opinion on free thought is to always say your opinion weather to others its wrong you know it is right for you. Never be afraid. The reason why i picked the picture was because sometimes saying what you think can cause an argument with someone who may think the complete opposite. So always be prepared to what free thoughts can lead to. Also the reason why i picked the quote by Thoreau was because I actually believe it is true. there is always one truth said by a person in a conversation.

Second Tenet of Transcendentalism: Self-Reliance

The second tenet of Transcendentalism is Self-Reliance. Self-Reliance is to reach for your dreams. Never wait for others to do it for you. Always think a step ahead of everyone. Don't rely on anyone but yourself. Be INDEPENDENT.

"Go confidently in
the direction of
your dreams. Live
The life you have
imagined."
-Henry David Thoreau

Self-Reliance to me is very important. Why? Because thanks to knowing the meaning to it, makes me want to follow my dream into opening my own hair and nail salon and becoming a cosmetologist. The reason why i picked the house from the movie "Up" was because the old man had promised to put his house on the island and yes he accomplished it.

First Tenet of Transcendentalism: Nonconfirmity

The first tenant of Transcendentalism is nonconformity. Nonconformity was to be yourself. Never be someone who other people want you to think. You have to be original. Be you and be unique. Done let anyone take that from you.
"Don't think your on the right road just because its a well-beaten path"
                    -Unknown Author

My thought on nonconformity is that yes everyone should be themselves, its always better to be different, to be you because you stand out. You make yourself a bigger person then trying to follow someone which in that case will make you fake. So be you!! Be unique!! <3
